Artist of the Day / Jürgen Kuster / Germany

Jürgen Kuster has a lot of things going on!  Painting, writing, various ‘projects’.  I’ve only scratched the surface with these images.  You must check out his blogs to get a feel for the imagination this artist has.  search_type=videos&search_query=hjkuester&uni=3

“Buchalov is a fictional character. He is my “alter ego”. Buchalov and writes a blog, because he seeks the exchange.  Buchalov know that the dialogue in the world reveals its core. He wants to come to him and the things of daily events on the track. It’s about knowledge. It’s about right. In order structures.  Buchalov writes in “Buchalovs blog” about himself, about his daily life.  Juergen Kuester wrote in “Diary Juergens” on Buchalovs blog and added distance from Buchalovs diary entries.”

It is a groping, cautious, firm but with a certainty: the roses must be broken. This is an important consequence of the exhibition “Flowers Gone,” which was created in its entirety but very harmonious, and the broken, which was also one of my intentions, did too little to the front.

Two routes are opening up: once the BURNING of rose petals. More on that later.

And the bondage of the rose motifs by strangler vines or plants. Here are the first drafts are to be seen to be implemented later in the form of a Collagrafie.

… This back and forth, the movement, slightly elliptical, and the idea that it could move forever.

The time factor must not be forgotten. The back and forth in time in the history of the river, is already worth astonishment: what is being asked to value the moment back, or would be extracted out of mothballs.

Examples: the importance of secondary virtues, the downgrading of human rights, the appreciation of the torture, the return of that white wedding, the importance of increasing the democratic socialism, the closing ceremonies in ball gowns and dark suits, ‘pursuit of respect, rejection of anti-authoritarianism, the return the object role of women, the rebirth and acceptance of men as macho type, the acceptance of pornography, and so on.

About destructivetesting

I'm a self-taught artist who prefers to use found objects in ways that were never intended. I'm not interested in making 10 or 100 of the same object. This, of course, takes more time to make each piece. I also prefer a more minimalist look, where each part of a piece can be appreciated. I consider my clocks to be small sculptures with moving parts. And, my lamps to be small sculptures with light. My mirrors are reflective sculptures. DESTRUCTIVE TESTING means to push something to it's limits to understand it's structural performance or material behavior under different stresses. I interpret this in my artwork as using materials in different ways or combinations than they were designed to be used. I also just like the slightly ominous sound of the term...
