Artist of the Day / Terry S. Amstutz a.k.a. mobius faith / Akron, Ohio

I’ve chosen Terry as Artist of the Day because of his beautiful work with digital images, but he is also a very interesting person who has a wonderful song category on his blog, and leaves insightful comments on other’s blogs.

‘As I wrote in my book “The photograph is the tabula rasa upon which I ‘paint’.” The photographic image is merely the beginning.’

“In many cases I honestly have not a reason for taking a shot of something aside from the fact that I just find it interesting.  Any personal meaning for me typically comes during the post processing phase.”

“If I would have merely wanted to document the time and place I live in and the people I meet I would have been a journalist. I seek to create the world I live in – not document it.

I'm a self-taught artist who prefers to use found objects in ways that were never intended. I'm not interested in making 10 or 100 of the same object.
